The ritual

How to Prepare

Café-quality matcha at home, in five simple steps — all you need is our ceremonial tin and a bamboo whisk.

Step 1

Wake the Whisk

Place your chasen (bamboo whisk) in a bowl of warm water for 30–60 seconds.

Goal: Soft tines flex instead of snapping — smoother whisking, longer whisk life.

Step 2

Sift & Scoop

Add 2g (about ½ tsp) of Matcha Mia ceremonial matcha through a fine sifter into your bowl.

Goal: No clumps before you start — silky texture from the very first sip.

Step 3

Pour with Care

Add 60ml of hot water at around 175°F / 80°C.

Goal: Never boiling — good matcha deserves gentle heat, not a bitter burn.

Step 4

Whisk with Energy

Whisk briskly in a W or M motion for 15–20 seconds, lightly tapping the bottom.

Goal: Dissolve every last bit of matcha and build that fine, creamy foam on top.

Step 5

Sip or Make It Pink

Drink it straight for the full umami moment, or top with milk for the creamiest latte of your life.

Goal: Your ritual, your way — both are 100% good vibes.
